Capitol Engineering is a leading civil engineering and construction company based in Tema, Ghana, providing high-quality construction, infrastructure, and engineering services across the country. This project involved the full redesign and development of their website — creating a modern, professional platform that better reflects the company's expertise, showcases its projects, and improves overall user experience and engagement.

The Challenge

Before the redesign, the website had several limitations that affected its effectiveness. The design lacked a modern and professional appearance, which did not fully represent the company's industry standard and credibility. The site structure made it difficult for users to easily access key information such as services, projects, and company details. Additionally, the website was not fully optimised for mobile devices, resulting in a poor browsing experience for users on smartphones and tablets. Together, these issues reduced user engagement and made it harder for potential clients to explore the company's capabilities.

Design & Development Approach

To address these challenges, I redesigned and developed a clean, modern, and user-focused website that enhances both usability and visual appeal. The new design features a professional layout that aligns with Capitol Engineering's brand and industry standards. A fully responsive design was implemented to ensure seamless performance across all devices — mobile, tablet, and desktop.

The website structure was reorganised to clearly present services, projects, and company information, making navigation more intuitive and content easier to find. Improved navigation and content hierarchy were introduced to enhance user flow and encourage deeper engagement. Performance optimisation techniques were also applied to ensure faster loading speeds, and the site was structured with SEO best practices to improve online visibility and reach.
